Grand Canyon - River Pontoon Raft Float

Today was a glorious day in my life.  I awoke last night several times and checked the clock to see if it was 5:30 yet.  I haven't been this excited since childhood - waiting for Christmas morning.  Joey and I got up at 5:15, drank our coffee and headed out to the river raft store downtown - Williams.  We rode about 2 and 1/2 hours to the Glen Canyon Dam by bus and boarded our river raft on the Colorado River.  Paul was our tour guide.  He was very knowledgeable about the river and the history of the Native Americans there and explorers who went down the Colorado river.  I sat on the raft and thought,  "I'm doing the exact same thing that explorers a hundred years ago did.  Only my boat has a motor and my guide knows where he is going, Ha Ha.
The water temp. was 45 degrees and the air temp. was around 95 degrees.  I got in the water up to my knees and could not go any further.
We stopped and hiked a little ways up the canyon to see Petrocliffs that were 1000 and 3000 years old.
I've attached many pictures.  Sorry for so many - but I wanted everyone to see all of the beauty we saw today.  It was majestic and I feel so happy to have finally seen the Grand Canyon.  It has been on my wish list for a long time.  Every time I looked at Joey, he had a smile on his face as well.
