Pamona KOA Campground and Los Angeles
Left the Catalina Island Ferry Parking Lot in Long Beach, California and headed for the KOA campground in Pamona, California. Pamona is a small town thirty miles outside of LA. We took this day to regroup. Did laundry, went to the hardware and grocery store and washed the Chinook. Went to the KOA campground this PM and grilled out steaks. It is good to take a breath. No great pictures on this day, but a fun time and relaxing.
July 31st - Still at the KOA campground in Pamona. Booked a sightseeing tour with the KOA campground for a tour of Los Angeles. Doug, our tour guide picked 13 of us fellow campers up at the campground promptly at 9:30.
Our tour lasted for six hours and we saw:
Downtowen LA - The Music Cente and Disney Music Hall
Hollywood Walk of Fame / Chinese Theatre - The Kodak Theatre (home of the Oscars)
Mulholland Drive and the Hollywood Sign
Sunset Blvd. and Melrose Ave.
Rodeo Drive
Movie Star's Homes such as Tom Cruise, Christina Aguilera, Aaron Spelling, David Beckham, Playboy Mansion, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson's last house, Nicolas Cage's last two repossessed homes, Lucille Ball, Doris Day and Frank Sinatra, Kirk Douglas, Jimmy Stewart.
To say the Least - It was a fun day and glad Joey nor I were driving the Chinook! You haven't seen TRAFFIC, until you've been to Los Angeles.
Enjoy the pics.
