We left the Grand Canyon in the am and headed for Lake Mead. It was about a three and half hour ride. Went through lots of rocks and mountains. Saw cactus and lots of ROCKS. The terrain here is so different from home. Have to put on lots of lotion. Your skin dries out so easily here. Arrived at Lake Mead RV campground. Very nice place. Stayed as close to the water as possible, but the water levels are about 1/2 mile below the mean here. We set up camp and grilled out tonight.

Got up early and rented a pontoon boat for the day at Lake Mead. Rode to the Hoover Dam by boat and eighteen miles up into the canyon at Lake Mead. Beautiful place.
