Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Salt Lake City

Took our last tour for Salt Lake City on this Sunday morning.  We got up early to hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing.  I'm glad we made the effort to hear them.  Between the organist, the symphony that accompanied them and the choir itself singing - well it really did sound heavenly.

We then were driven around Salt Lake City by our tour guide, Tom.  He was a Mormon with 9 children.  We immediately understood why he worked a second job.  I've included pictures of the Capital building.  Joey and I took pictures of the marble columns, which were brought in from Georgia by train.  Hope you're reading this Richard McGee.  To say the least, it was a good day and yes we learned so much about Salt Lake City, Mormons and the people there in general.  I really did admire their community spirit and the importance they place on family.  Oh and Tom, our tour guide made it perfectly clear, Mormons do not have multiple wives or have not since 1890.  I thought I'd throw that in.
Enjoy the pics.
